Pálava and Valtice Underground with "Pěšky etc."

Trip to Pálava with "Pěšky atd."
 
The trip to the blossoming Pálava is a traditional event of "Pěšky atd." group from Brno.
This events attend approximately one hundred attendants from Czechia, Slovakia and Austria including us - bears.

Meet-up point is at the main train station "Hlavní nádraží" in Brno at 8:45am in front of a luggage storage before departure of a train to Popice.
Then we are going from Popice across "Nové mlýny" lake and through Dolní Věstonice to the hills of Pálava with ruins of castle Děvín towards Mikulov.
 
Valtice and Valtice underground
 
From Mikulov we are going by a train to Valtice - there we have cheap accomodation (reserved from 5 pm).
Accomodation consist from 3-beded rooms provided by a school hostel of Valtice Wine School (350 CZK/night /~13€/, breakfast +75 CZK /~2.80€/ , dinner +90 CZK /3.30€/) - for the summary price please see below.

In Valtice we have 3 hour common wine degustation with a small refreshment in the labyrinth of the wine cellars of "Valtické podzemí" (~ 3 minutes by walk from the place of accomodation).

Program of the degustation event (Turist III.)
- welcome drink
- Sklepiér® service
- visit the undeground with a degustation glass with instructions of Sklepiér® about history of the place
- degustation of 8 samples of bottled wine with Sklepiér®
- „ulimited“ drinking cask wine *
- water in pitchers
- cold buffet - the total weight of food per person is about 300 gr.
 
Cold buffet consists of special pastries, cheese, ham, pork cracklings, smoked meat and bacon, specialty sausages, vegetables, fruits, etc.
The appendix is bread.
The program begins with a tour of the Underground with a glass of wine in hand, length about 30-45 minutes.
Followed by a guided tasting of 8 samples of bottled wines led by Sklepiér®, length of about 1 hour.
The total length of the program is up to 3 hours. After this time, a group of visitors were charged extra for each additional hour spent in the basement of 800, - CZK.
* Unlimited consumption of cask wine is valid for the whole duration of the program.

Valtice educational path and Reistna Colonade

On the sunday we are going for a short walk around Valtice along an educational path and to Reistna Colonade.
 
Schedule - Saturday
 
5.30am - Praha: meet-up at Hlavním nádraží Praha in front of the LYDC London (with a valid ticket to Brno)
5.49am - Praha: departure by train EC273 Czsardás to Brno (arrival 8.22am)

8.45am - Brno: meet-up at Hlavní nádraží by the side entrance (towards the main post office), we will buy a group ticket
9.10am - Brno: departure by a train to Popice (9.51am, waiting for a train from Břeclav 10.08am)

After a common invitation we are going to the trip through Popice – Dolní Věstonice – Dívčí hrady – Děvín – Sirotčí hrádek – Mikulov.
3.45pm - Mikulov meet-up at the railway station Mikulov
4.01pm - departure to Valtice - město
- arrival at 4.15pm, then walking 1.5 km through the city for accommodation
4:35pm - accommodation in the school hostel of Valtice Wine School
5:30pm - dinner in the school hostel of Valtice Wine School (and alternative arrival of those who will have caught the later train from Mikulov to 5.02pm)
8:00pm - visiting cellars Valtice underground with refreshments and wine tasting
11:00pm - end of visiting the cellars and possibility to continue at Disco Kinopolis Valtice

Schedule - Sunday
Breakfast from 7.50am to 8.30am
8:30am to 8:45am tidy up rooms, temporary store bags and luggage
8.45am to 11.30am Walking around the neighborhood, picking up backpacks

Price
The summary price with accomodation (350 CZK/night /~13€/) and wine degustation (500 CZK /~18.50€/) is 850 CZK  /~31.40€/.
The summary price with a breakfast is 925,- CZK /~34.20€/ and with a dinner is 1015,- CZK /~37.50€/ (breakfast +75 CZK /~2.80€/, dinner +90 CZK /~3.30€/)
 
If you are not a member of Prague Bears association then it is necessary to pay a deposit 400,- CZK /~14.80€/ for accommodation and reservation the degustation in Valtice Underground, the rest will be paid on the spot in cash in CZK.
